OH SO ADORABLE

December 30, 2014

When shopping in Namur, I picked up a few bits and pieces because I just couldn't leave the city with empty hands. I found these adorable bunny hair ties from New Look and I can't wait to wear them. I got them together with a long, tartan printed cardigan and both pieces were 50% off so hey, why not get them? I'll show the cardigan in an outfit post sometime soon. The other thing I got is a nailpolish from Ciaté. I'd seen them many times before, but I never actually bought it because it was a bit too expensive for my liking. In Namur though, I found the nailpolish in a shop I'd never heard of before and it was only €2,99 instead of something around ten euros. I love the things I got! XX

THE BLACK BEANIE

December 29, 2014

I've been studying for one and a half week straight right now and as I was getting bored and annoyed of all the work, my parents proposed to have a day out. So, we headed to Namen/Namur which is a city in the French part of Belgium (yeah, we're complicated like that) and we spent the day shopping and admiring the city. It's so beautiful, honestly. I wish I could just live their forever, or just in the French part basically. Everything seems more quite and beautiful there, crazy but true.
I was wearing an all-black black outfit with my flower printed Doc Martens and an old beanie. I felt like being a bit hipster and grunge (although my brother said it was gothic, who knows..) I had a lovely day out! (PS: excuse the awful pictures, my camera is bullying me and I'm currently saving up for a new one, be patient haha)

SCANDINAVIAN BLOGGER LOVE

December 28, 2014

I absolutely love Scandinavian bloggers, they blog about ordinary things and still manage to make it interesting and understandable for strangers, like me. I usually just scroll through their blogs to adore the photos as I'm not really that good at understanding Swedish and Norwegian. I don't know what it is, but it's addictive and so pretty. Ohh, let me just move to Sweden or Norway to be surrounded by the stunning environment forever. See, I can be quite poetic sometimes. *cringe* Do you know any of these Scandinavian bloggers?

DARKER THAN THE NIGHT LIPSTICKS

December 26, 2014

Hi peeps! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas day yesterday and you shared some love. I wanted to post something yesterday, but I couldn't really find the time to do so. Anyway, I got two lipsticks about a week ago, I got one of them specially for Christmas, just because the colour reminded me of red Christmas sweaters haha. They're both from Hema, which has kind of become an obsession for me. Like, their lipsticks are amazing and super cheap and just heaven - no I'm not being sponsored by them. XX

So, the first colour is number 16 which is a dark, shiny red lipstick that stays on your lips all day long, meals included. I've been wearing this a lot lately as it doesn't dry out your lips, it's long lasting and the colour is extremely pretty.

The other colour is in number 14 - they don't have names, so sad - and it's a extremely dark purple/brown-ish colour that makes you look really badass and sophisticated. It's also quite long lasting, but this one only survives one meal. Nothing but love for these lippies!

(Lipstick 14/16: Hema, €3,50)

SANTA BRING ME CUPCAKES

December 23, 2014

Hi! Since it's nearly Christmas and the most important meal on a Christmas day is dessert, I thought I'd share my favourite Christmassy dessert with you! These chocolate cupcakes with strawberry taste are really easy to make and taste delicious, I mean, cupcakes are always a good idea, right? Anyway, let's get the baking started!

You'll be needing:
- some awesome Christmas music (like the Glee Christmas album or Michael Bublé)
- 120g butter
- 2 eggs
- 120g self-raising flower
- 100g strawberry jam
- 100g white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
- 150g of chocolate (dark/milk/white it doesn't matter)
Topping: we just heated some chocolate and sprinkled some decorations on top.

How to make these delicious cupcakes:
- Set your oven to a 180°.
- Blend the butter with the sugar and the vanilla sugar until it's smooth and creamy.
- Mix the eggs and add them to the batter together with the self-raising flower.
- Heat some chocolate in the microwave or melt it au bain-marie and then add it to the dough as well. Mix it together.
- Start filling the paper cases, making sure they're all about the same size.
- When the cases are all filled, add a teaspoon of strawberry jam on top of the cupcakes.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the tops spring back when lightly pressed and let them cool off.

Enjoy the cupcakes! XX

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

December 20, 2014

I finally found the time to snap some shots for this outfit post! It's been so long it felt like a withdrawal -seriously. I recently got a few new lipsticks, including this one from Hema and I've never loved a lipstick so much, which probably sounds really weird but it's true. This one is a perfect dupe for the Mac Diva and I'm willing to review it, because I love you guys (and it's almost Christmas!). So, I was wearing a grey-silver skirt and a faux leather shirt (that rhymes..lol.) and my platforms because they make me feel a bit taller. The adorable, stunning jewellery is from BornPrettyStore, they were so lovely for sending me these! The discount code is in the sidebar, go check 'em out for some late Christmas presents!
Anyway, I hope you're all as excited as me for Christmas and I love you guys, thanks for supporting me! XX

THREE DARK LIPPIES

December 17, 2014

You've probably already seen these lipsticks a hundred times already, but that's just because I'm a huge fan of the darker coloured lipsticks. I usually don't really dare to wear these dark lippies that often, but I kind of got over the fact that people might think it's weird. The only thing you can be is yourself and I find it comforting and amusing to wear darker colours so that's what I do.

My ultimate favorite lipstick has to be 'Mac Diva', how could it be any different. I've had this color for nearly two years and it's still the most stunning lipstick in my collection. The pigmentation is more than amazing and it lasts for ages. Seriously, nothing but admiration for this one! (€19)

My most worn lipstick is probably the Rimmel x Kate Moss in the colour 08. The colour is absolutely stunning and it's a great lipstick to wear on an everyday basis. Although the packaging promises a long-lasting and pigmented effect, I noticed that it doesn't survive a meal at all. I really like the colour and the moisturising effect, so I'm pretty sure I'll be buying it again when I run out of it. (€10)

Last but not least, my most worn lippie nowadays, the Hema moisturising lipstick in the colour 13. This one is really pigmented but doesn't last that long either. I usually apply it before school starts and by the time I'm having lunch, it's already faded and almost completely disappeared. That doesn't mean I don't like it, because as I said, it's my most worn lipstick right now. It's really cheap and you can find colours that looks almost the same in other drugstores as well. Hema isn't very known outside Europe, which is quite sad as it's an amazing brand for lipsticks! (€3,50)

MY FITNESS ROUTINE #1

December 14, 2014

I won't lie, I'm actually the worst at not giving up on the whole fitness thing. But I kind of decided to get fit for New Year and the rest of the year actually. I asked you guys on Instagram if you wanted to see a fitness-routine or a DIY and you wanted to see a fitness routine so here it is!

The most important thing when you're doing a workout, is to drink a lot of water throughout the exercises. I usually work out for about 20 minutes to half an hour and then I like to drop dead and sleep for seven years. (Just kidding –duhh-) Anyway, I’ll list the exercises I do for you guys and if you have any tips/questions/comments on how to do a better workout then don’t hesitate to leave them down below!
(I numbered the exercises on the pictures so you know what the exercises are, except the obvious ones ;))

My fitness routine:
Warm up for two minutes by doing about 20 jumping jacks, 10 burpees, 10 strides and overall stretching so your body is all warmed up and ready for some exercising. (PS: do the same stretching after your workout!)

(more exercises will follow soon in like a month or so, slowly build up the routine and get stronger)

THE NUDE EYESHADOW PALETTE

December 9, 2014

So the actual plan was to go shopping and find a Christmas present for my brother and well all of a sudden I seemed to have ended up in a drugstore. I got home with some beauty products and -luckily- I found a gift for my brother as well. Let's just pretend it's an early Christmas present for myself.
I took this lovely eyeshadow palette with me and god, I love the packaging! It's so cute and Christmassy. I already have a few of the nude shades in my stash, but I was curious about the pigmentation and the golden shimmery colours so I took it with me anyway. I was kind of sad when I realised that the pigmentation isn't really that amazing, it's rather bad actually. You have to apply quite a lot of the eyeshadow to get a decent looking colour. The colours of the palette are called 'eye light beige', 'go for gold', 'an eye on apricot', 'all about nude', 'nude night out' and 'team nude'. It's all about the nude colours in this palette!
The colours are really pretty though and I'm so excited to wear this for Christmas. I'm such a Christmas person -ugh- haha. XX

(Nude palette: Essence - €5,99)

18TH BIRTHDAY

December 8, 2014

Hi there! I promised to post something on my birthday, so here it is! I turned 18 today, I feel so old now haha :) We already ate some cake yesterday because I had school today. I got the cutest presents from my parents and my brother. They all gave me room decoration items, which is amazing as I'm still completely redecorating my room. I can't wait to show you guys! Anyway this is just a short update. :) XX

HELLO DECEMBER

December 6, 2014

I kind of wanted to write a personal post, just sit down and write it all down. I've been extremely busy with school lately, I leave really early in the morning and come back home late in the evening. So there's absolutely no time to snap some outfit photos and I hate it. I'd love to spend the day blogging and shooting amazing pictures with the most stunning outfits, but the school life doesn't allow me to life that life. *sad face*

Another thing I wanted to talk about is the new blog layout! I've been quite creative with html-codes and I that's how I finally managed to create the new layout. I wanted to keep it simple and clean, because I have an OCD haha. I just can't help but clean everything up and so I kind of cleaned up my blog as well. If that's even possible. I currently really like the way my blog looks, I might just add a few more widgets and change some details, but that's not for now. Let me know what you think of the whole new blogger look!

Last, but not least I just wanted to mention it's my 18th birthday next Monday! I'll probably be posting something that day as well. Anyway, I hope you're enjoy December so far and please tell me I'm not the only one who's extremely excited for Christmas! Haha :) Have a lovely evening! XX

GOLDEN DREAMS

December 3, 2014

I recently received these stunning pieces from BornPrettyStore and you honestly have no idea how excited I am to wear the hand chain. I remember diy'ing myself one about a year ago, but the silver started fading and it literally looks like a hand 'chain' now haha. When scrolling through the Born Pretty Store webshop, I saw this stunning hand chain and I couldn't help but add it to my shopping bag.
I chose to combine the hand jewellery with some adorable midi-rings and a pearl bracelet. The midi-rings are really freaking small, so if you happen to have thicker fingers, ordering a size bigger is a must.
The pearl bracelet is so stunning and so subtle! I've never in my life owned a bracelet like this one because I always thought it looked too girly. When I saw it on the website, I just had to get it. Such stunning pieces!
The items took about 4 weeks to arive, which is quite long but last time I ordered some pieces off the site, it took less than two weeks for them to arrive. Do you like wearing hand chains and golden jewellery? XX
(Ps: excuse the horrible photo quality, it's getting super dark outside really quickly and I get home from school late... I'm also saving up for a new camera because this one is awful to work with when it's getting a bit darker outside)

THE NEW BRUSH

November 25, 2014

Finding a new foundation brush is one of the hardest things to do. Especially when it comes to having dry skin and struggling with applying the foundation decently. I noticed that my old foundation brush was losing hairs and I couldn't really clean it any longer without risking to lose more hair. So, I got myself a new brush and I'm so in love with it!

I'd honestly never heard of the brand/designer before, but as soon as I felt how soft the brush was ,I knew I had to get it. You can use the brush for liquid foundation as well as for powder foundation. I'm not very fond of powder foundation as it makes your skin feel cakey.
I always put the foundation on my hand before applying it to my face, using the brush. I noticed that this brush is quite firm, which makes it easy yet harder to apply the foundation. Confusing, I know. You can spread foundation more evenly on your face, but you have to make sure your whole face is covered because the brush kind of dries out the foundation. Pffew that's hard to explain haha :)

On the third picture, you can see my old foundation brush on the left side of my new one. The new one is larger than my previous one. I've always used a Topshop foundation brush or beauty blenders, but now that I've discovered this foundation brush I don't think I'm ever gonna change!

Anyway, I hope you found this review a bit helpful! XX

(foundation brush: Barbara Hofmann by 'di'; €10)
