the american adventure ·part 1

I'm so sorry it took so long for me to finally upload my travel diary. I do have a valid reason for it though: I simply forgot about it. Don't get me wrong, traveling to America is unforgettable (I'm not joking around for once), but I'm somehow too lazy to start writing the diary and editing the photos. I'll be uploading a part of my travel diary once a week because there's just too much to show you guys in one post. :)

It all started in Las Vegas.. When we got out of the plane, the first thing anyone would've noticed is the heat. The temperature was about 42°C and I was still wearing a thick sweater, black jeans and Doc Martens. I guess you could say I was about to melt. Las Vegas was pretty amazing and oh so fake. We stayed there for two nights and we walked past the Eiffel tower, New York, ancient Roman buildings, spent some time in Venice and spotted Zach Galifianakis from The Hangover (not the real one though ;)).

The next stop was Zion National Park and this is where my obsession with chipmunks started. They're just so unbelievably cute and although you're not allowed to pet them (they like to bite your fingers off) I couldn't stop taking pictures of them. Anyway, Zion was stunning like every national park in America but it was a bit too touristy for my liking. I love being surrounded by nature and not really by people, but all in all it was really calming and stunning!

Bryce Canyon! This was probably the park I liked the most (sorry mum and dad). I kind of ran away whilst visiting this park because my dad and I had a little dispute about nothing so I discovered the canyon on my own. It made me think about how little my problems are in comparison to the world. Plus, I also met more chipmunks because they're awesome.

The next stop was Canyonlands, which reminded me of the Grand Canyon (but that's for the next post :D), but it isn't as big as the GC though. We didn't stay there for too long because there was a thunderstorm coming our way and guess what? We'd be sleeping in a tent soon (awesome... note the sarcasm). I'm so scared of thunder and lightning and I wasn't too keen on sleeping in a simple tent. But we didn't die that night (obviously not) and the name of the teepee tents is: Moab under canvas. If you get the chance to go to Moab, you just have to experience sleeping in a teepee, it's pretty cool ;). Last stop for today: Arches Valley! There's not much to say about this Park, because it's all enormous and gigantic and it rendered me speechless...
