USEFUL ADVICE FOR YOUR EXAMS/FINALS

May 10, 2015

I've been seeing a lot of youtube videos and blog posts recently about increasing your concentration during the exams (or finals). I'm a student myself and I struggle with concentrating myself during the boring exams. These are my three tips for better results during that tough time of your life we all wish to be over quickly.

1. Superfoods for your brain
Most students usually eat unhealthy, sugared food during the exams which is not a good thing. Sugar makes you feel tired quickly and it reduces your concentration. You absolutely don't want those bad sugars in your body. I love eating dark chocolate, blueberries, strawberries, cranberries and nuts. I increases your energy and makes you feel awake and concentrated.

2. Plan ahead
Planning ahead is something I can't live without. When you're in the mood for studying, but the folders in front of you demotivate you, then planning ahead is something you should totally do. Write down what you still have to do and what you want to get done. Being able to say 'I did so much today' is always a great way to end a productive day.

3. Anti-socialize
Turn off your phone or put it on airplane mode so you don't get distracted too often. Everytime my phone buzzes, I immediately have to know what's going on and thirty minutes later I realise I'm still scrolling through my phone, oops. No more social media during your exams really helps you to stay focused.
