Celebrating Easter & Travel Plans

March 27, 2016

Lately I've been either studying or working on a new blog layout and I haven't been in the mood to post anything. I just really want to pass all my exams and make myself and my parents proud. I don't know why, but I'm actually starting to like studying and also, I want to write about more than just fashion and beauty, but I already mentioned that in a previous post, so I won't be talking about it again.

I want to create a cozy atmosphere on my blog, the feeling you get when you enter a Parisian bakery that smells like freshly baked croissants and hot coffee. I want more color on my blog, like pastels, and not just black and white. The hardest thing about creating a new blogger theme, is choosing the font for your title, I think. I've written some things down and I made a couple of drawings to guide me whilst coding and I'm super excited to show you the result.

Another exciting thing is happening tomorrow night and I kind of want to tell you guys, but it's better if I wait until I can show you the photos and the fun experiences afterwards. It has something to do with traveling and I'll leave it up to you to guess where I'm going. Happy Easter, Bunnies!

Things Are Changing

March 20, 2016

Long time no see/talk! I've been thinking about changing up my blog and redesigning the whole look of my little corner of the internet. Simply because I've changed and I want to write about more things than fashion and beauty. There's so much more to life to talk about and I prefer writing personal/lifestyle posts. Topics that have been on my mind are: veganism, sustainable living and working on yourself (e.g. gaining confidence by practicing yoga). I haven't bought any shoes since August, I no longer buy make-up and I've been working a lot on myself. I'm trying to get to know myself and discover my passions.

This might sound super cheesy, but materialistic things are so worthless. They don't make you happier whereas surrounding yourself with supportive people does. There are a lot of things going on in my private life right now and I haven't really had the time to think about new blog posts. Sometimes you have to put yourself first and evaluate your situation.

Anyway, enough about my private life! I would love to know if you would like to read posts that aren't fashion related, but talk about more serious things. I will be posting really exciting things soon though, so stay tuned! Thank you for following my blog and supporting me, it means a lot!

PS: I know that these photos aren't that flattering, but this is me and I'm still trying to accept myself, how I look and who I am. Learning to love yourself is a long process, but it's worth it.

March Inspiration

March 13, 2016

It's already the 13th of March and I haven't written down my March Inspirations yet, whoops! I have been surprisingly busy lately (I usually haven't got anything to do) and I haven't had a lot of inspiration for blog posts. I collected my favorite photos and made a collage with them, the usual, and I'm sharing them with you today. Also, can we talk about the amazing weather lately? I'm so excited for spring and the warmer weather just makes me so happy. I hate the cold, probably because I get cold really easily and I really want to wear dresses again instead of four layers of clothing. I always tend to wear the same outfits over and over again during the winter time because I don't have the energy to be creative or fashionable when it's freezing.

Thank god it's slowly getting warmer and the trees are starting to blossom. I'm looking forward to having banana nicecream for breakfast every morning, wearing cute dresses and long walks in the morning sun. Yay for Spring time!

Let's Talk Makeup

March 7, 2016

Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical. - Sophia Loren

I mentioned a couple of months ago that I wanted to shrink my makeup collection and I think I did a fairly good job. I haven't bought any makeup in seven months and it feels so good, knowing you're not wasting money on something that isn't important. I used to buy makeup because I thought it looked pretty in the packaging or because I wanted to be cool too. I obviously watched too many makeup tutorials from beauty gurus, all telling me that I needed this newest product or that magical eye shadow when in fact, I didn't need it at all.

Every makeup product in my makeup bag is something I use on an everyday basis and I'm planning on using everything up (I'll keep you updated). If I run out of concealer and I don't own any other ones, I probably will buy a new one because I use it almost every day. Thanks to my vegan lifestyle, my skin has cleared up massively and I also haven't been wearing any mascara these last couple of days and I'm probably going to continue doing so. Anyway, enough rambling, let's get straight to the point now!

Velvet Finish Concealer - Catrice
Camouflage Cream - Catrice
Bronzer - Mua
Better Than Sex Mascara - Too Faced
Eyeshadow/ Eyebrow Palette - Catrice
Prime and Fine Powder - Catrice

As you can see, I don't use a lot of products because I'm not that good at applying makeup, I haven't got the time for it either in the morning and I don't like the feeling of it on my face. Whenever I wear mascara, my eyes suddenly start itching or when I apply some concealer it somehow starts raining. Me + makeup is just not a good combination. Don't get me wrong, I sometimes really like making my face look fancy, but that's only for outfit photos or New Year's Eve, haha. I don't think there's much explaining to do about my routine as it speaks for itself.

Just remember you're beautiful, with or without makeup, and you don't have to change the way you look for anyone. I know it can be hard to accept yourself sometimes, but there's only one of you and you should be proud of who you are. Have a lovely evening!

Spring Outfits

March 3, 2016

I'm always really excited for Spring, not just because the days get sunnier and brighter or the trees start blossoming. I love Spring because I finally get the chance to wear outfits that are more flattering than the ones I usually wear during winter time. I always like to dress up warm and comfy when it's cold and I tend to not really care about how 'stylish' my outfits are. But, when the sun starts shining again, I can wear lighter coats and cute dresses with sandals or elegant shoes.

I have two different styles that I like to wear: the boring me likes to wear just plain white shirts with jeans (either shorts or pants) and the romantic me likes to put on pretty pink dresses with heels. I don't know why my style is so weird, but I'm blaming social media and my favorite bloggers for this problem, haha. I made this moodboard for you to get inspired so you won't have any 'I have so many clothes but I don't know what to wear' moments in Spring. I also linked all the items featured in this post below. You're welcome. ;) Have a lovely day!

A Hint Of Red

March 1, 2016

I'm usually not the one to wear colorful clothing and if my best friend hadn't convinced me to buy this, I probably wouldn't wear a red dress, like, ever. I own only one other red dress and I wore it once. I just don't feel like myself when I wear clothing that is, well, too colorful. I prefer sticking to black, white and grey. But, life begins at the end of your comfort zone and if wearing pieces like this dress gets me out of that zone, then great! My best friend owns the exact same dress (twins!) and I can't wait to wear this in Paris in September!

I'm sorry about the lack of outfit posts lately and the ripped tights in these photos, but I managed to snap some pictures so it's all good now. Also, I need to find some new fancy shoes because I'm pretty sure you're getting bored of seeing my Stella McCartney dupes in almost every outfit post. If you have any recommendations, let me know! Have a lovely day!
