IT'S COMPLICATED

May 28, 2015

About a month ago, I posted a haul featuring two make-up products from Action. Those who are not familiar with the name: it's a cheap store that sells everything, from flowers to make-up to paintings. I'm not a huge fan of buying really cheap make-up products, unless the brand is well-known, like Essence. Since I was searching for a cheap pressed powder and a new mascara to try out, I decided to throw these two products in my basket and review them for you.

The pressed powder
I'm not too impressed with the pigmentation of this powder, it's nearly non-existent. But hey, you get what you pay for. If you're hoping to conceal your blemishes with this powder, you have to apply a liquid foundation first. Due to the bad pigmentation, the powder just makes me look really pale and the blemishes are not covered, at all. I might sound really rude and negative, but I want to give you my honest opinion. Would I buy this again? Probably not.

The illusion lash mascara
If your lashes aren't extremely dark like mine, this mascara would look absolutely amazing on you. You barely see the coats of mascara on my lashes and the product smells funny (that sounds so weird) and chemical. The brush is really soft, which makes it easy to apply and you can barely feel the mascara on your lashes. I actually like this product, it's cheap and makes your eyes stand out, but would I buy it again? I don't think so. There are other mascaras on the market that are better and not too expensive.

Both products cost less than a euro and can be found in a Action store.

  1. Pretty good for under a euro!
Stunning pictures by the way :)

  2. I'm sure for under a Euro, they perform for what they pay for, but I think it'll be a wiser choice to invest in better products that will do the job a ton better! Haha, thank you for the honest review(s)!
