the american adventure · part 3

August 28, 2015

Hello and welcome to another episode of... Okay, let's not start off the third and last part of my American Adventure series that way. It's just too cliché. In this part, I'm taking you from San Francisco to Morro Bay, Beverly Hills and finally, the not-so-shiny Hollywood. If you missed the previous stories, you can read them here (part 1) and here (part 2).

San Francisco is probably my favorite city in America just because it's so photogenic and it screams Tumblr and people are really chill. I'll tell you a funny story: we were sitting outside a café with a cup of coffee/tea in our hands and there were three people just jamming away next to us, playing jazz and soul and man, they were amazing! It's not just the rich and famous that are talented (some of them are just rich and not talented you know who I'm talking about..), but the people in the streets are the ones who are creative and they can really surprise you!

In these pictures you can see the Golden Gate bridge - Lombard Street - random pictures from San Francisco.

After spending a couple of days in San Francisco, it was time for us to head to LA where we'd be staying for two days before heading home. We took the coast road to get to LA and drove past Morro Bay which is such a beautiful place! We also saw some sea lions taking a nap and more adorable chipmunks.

I didn't take any pictures in LA because the only thing we did was sleeping or sunbathing so there wasn't much going on. BUT, we decided to visit Beverly Hills and Hollywood on the last day and thank god I took my camera with me or I wouldn't have anything to show you, haha. Beverly Hills was pretty stunning and I took some pictures for this outfit post there.

Hollywood isn't the glitter and glamour people think it is, it's just a scary place with the stars on the ground and weird shops on the side of the road.

I don't want to end this travel diary with the creepy Hollywood story so I'll show you a picture of the donkey that REALLY wanted to come with us on our trip haha, we met the cute guy on our way to Oatman (Route 66). Anyway, thank you so much for reading this travel diary and have a nice day!

  1. I've loved reading these travel diaries!
I think it's sad how Hollywood isn't all the glitter and glamour I imagined it would be :( It does indeed look like a creepy place (telling from the picture). The donkey made me laugh though :D

  2. Ahhh, I want to go to America so bad even though I'm aware that the place is slightly romanticised, haha. These are lovely photos, and SF is SO gorgeous! How cute is the donkey, hahaha!
