In my skincare bag

January 31, 2016

During winter time, I always struggle with dry patches and redness on my face and my body. I have got really dry skin, but it's always worse when it's cold outside. So, I've been trying to take extra care of my skin and I wanted to tell you which skincare products are in my skincare bag. I always keep my bag next to my bed so it's almost impossible to forget to take care of my skin. This is what I keep in my skincare bag:

· FACE PRODUCTS ·

Eos - Lipbalm
Caudalie - Radiance Serum
Lush - Tea Tree Toner Water
Yves Rocher - Cranberry Cooking Mask
Lush - Kalamazoo Facewash

I wrote a skincare post a while ago featuring the products that I use every single day because they prevent breakouts, dry skin and redness and they make my skin feel amazing.

· BODY PRODUCTS ·

Yves Rocher - Olive Body Lotion & Blackberry Body Lotion
The Body Shop - Mango Whip Body Lotion
Rituals - Mei Dao Body Lotion

I don't use body lotions that often, but when my skin tends to be really dry, I do like to apply some lotion before I go to bed.

So, this is what's in my makeup bag right now and I know that some of these products aren't cruelty free (e.g. The Body Shop, Yves Rocher, Eos). I don't support companies that test on animals or use animal products in their lotions or creams and I'm not promoting their products in this post. I bought the YR lotions about a year and a half ago and I got the TBS lotion for my birthday a while ago. I'm using up the products, but I won't be buying them again. I would love to know your opinion on brands that aren't cruelty free (yet!).

Chic & Comfy

January 29, 2016

My mum and I did some damage to our bank account yesterday when we went sale shopping. But, what are you supposed to do when everything is 70% off and it's super gorgeous? I got both the pants and the shirt for less than €25 so how was I supposed to say no to this? I discovered turtle necks a while ago and my collection has been growing ever since. A grey turtle neck shirt is a must-have in your wardrobe and I think it looks gorgeous when you wear it with classy pants like the ones I'm wearing.

My best friend, on the other hand, hates turtle necks. (You'll learn to love them, trust me :P) Anyway, I decided to wear the outfit with my favorite Stella McCartney dupes. I really want to buy a real pair of these shoes, like the ones I featured in my January inspiration post. What do you think of turtle necks and would you wear this outfit? Also, you can find the watch I'm wearing here, if you love it as much as I do. :)

I've been wanting to film a 'what I eat in a day' video for such a long time, but I was either too lazy or I was studying. Since I wasn't lazy today and my had my last exam yesterday (it went horrible, don't ask me about it), I finally filmed a video! It took me ages to edit/film this because it's completely new to me, but I hope you like the result and you can watch it HERE. (for some strange reason Blogger won't show the video...)

Breakfast || Oatmeal (serves one)
1/2 cup of oats / 1 cup of oat milk / blueberries / raspberries / granola / 2 tsp chia seeds / almonds

Lunch || Zoodles with avocado (serves one)
1/2 zucchini / 1/2 avocado / cashews / vegan parmigiano / fleur de sel / pepper / basil

Snacks
4 dates / piece of chocolate / pear

Dinner (serves one)

January inspiration

January 22, 2016

'One more exam to go'. That's currently all I can think about. Two more days of revision and I can finally relax, spend some time with my mum and have tea parties with my best friend. I've been studying since the beginning of December and I really need to do something else than learning or I'll go crazy. (I'm already crazy though hahaha)

I made a style/mood board for January and according to my moodboard I'm really into pink and purple at the moment. I guess wearing black can get a bit boring and I love being a girly girl from time to time. Also, how gorgeous are the Stella McCartney shoes? I'm SO in love with them and if I'd be able to buy them I wouldn't have to think twice. They're stunning, the material is faux leather (uhuh they're cruelty free, thanks Stella!) and they would probably last me a lifetime, plus, they make a boring outfit look really stylish.

Anyway, I would love to know what your style board looks like at the moment and if you happen to write a post about it too, please let me know! :) Have a lovely evening!

Cozy up

January 15, 2016

These photos have been in my drafts for so long and since I don't have time to take photos of me properly styling this turtle neck sweater, I guess we'll have to go with this. I wouldn't style the sweater with a printed blouse underneath again, because I just don't like the combination. I'd rather wear a basic black or white shirt with it.

I've been studying a lot these last couple of weeks and I can't wait for these exams to be over so I can relax for two weeks and blog more, watch youtube videos and hang out with my mum and my best friends. Have a lovely evening!

Gingerbread cinnamon cupcakes with banana

January 9, 2016

I can't believe it's been a week since I last posted something on my blog, woops! Time flies by so fast when you're studying. I didn't even realize it was Saturday. *shocked face expression* One of my NY resolutions was to post more on my blog and create a blogging schedule. But, as I said a billion times before, studying and university comes first and I really want to get good grades.

So, with that being said, I've been wanting to post this recipe for such a long time and I never found the right moment to do so. You have no idea how long this post has been in my drafts... Anyway, I made up my own cupcake recipe and since it's so easy, I wanted to share it with you! To bake the cupcakes, I used the Peta recipe for vegan cupcakes, which you can find HERE. I simply added gingerbread/speculoos spices, cinnamon and I added a slice of banana to decorate the cupcake. You'll have to bake the cupcakes a bit longer than usual. The recipe says 15-18 minutes, but I'd bake them for about 18 to 24 minutes to make them less sticky. Bon Appétit!

Note: I've cut out sugar in my diet and if you want to make a healthier version of these yummy cupcakes, you can use maple syrup or dates instead of sugar. Also, if you're a vegan, you'll have to use ungranulated sugar because granulated sugar isn't vegan... Just saying ;)

It's a brand new year

· A HAPPY NEW YEAR! ·

Hi guys! First of all: I wish you a happy New Year and I hope that, if 2015 hasn't been a fantastic year for you, 2016 is a fresh start for you, a blank page, the first chapter of an amazing book you're going to write because I can't wait to read it! :) I hope you celebrated the New year with friends or family and you ate lots and lots of delicious food (because I certainly did, haha!)

I always say I don't make good intentions, but this year is going to be an exception. I want to do something with my life and be a better, healthier person in general. I've written down a list of things I want to achieve in 2016 and I'm going to push myself out of my cozy comfort zone. I would love to know what your good intentions are! These are mine:

· Get fitter: I want to work out more often and build some muscle ·
· Avoid sugary foods: cutting down sugar has been on my to-do list for a long time ·
· Study harder and get good grades ·
 · Don't forget about my blog (I've been so bad at blogging these last couple of months...) ·
· Be happier and look more positive at things and situations ·
· Continue fighting against animal cruelty ·

Have a wonderful day/night and don't forget to leave your good intentions in the comments! Let's help each other to become a better person in 2016! :)
